Pastor Dr. Dele A. Ilesanmi

Professor of Biblical Research Studies and Biblical Education

Dr. Dele Alaba Ilesanmi has been appointed as Professor of Biblical Research Studies and Biblical Education, a position that recognises both his scholarly depth and his passion for training faithful expositors of Scripture.

With earned doctorates in both Theology (ThD) and Christian Education (PhD), Professor Ilesanmi has distinguished himself as a diligent researcher and educator in the fields of Biblical Research Studies, Theoretical Theology and Biblical Education (Learning Theory & Evaluation), and pastoral ministry—bridging the academic and practical with grace and clarity.

As of 2025, the erudite scholar, Professor Ilesanmi, has published over 100 peer-reviewed academic research papers and articles to his credit in reputable scholarly journals, including academic platforms, such as Research Gate, Google Scholars, Academia, Open Science Framework, International Society of Christian Apologetics, Journal of African Kingdom Education, Mature Journal of International Institute of Christian Theologians, Scholars, and Professionals, EuroPub, Web of Science, Zenodo, SciProfile, Dimension, Scribd, etc.

He is known for his commitment to the authority of Scripture, his teaching on biblical literacy, and his advocacy for a contextual, Spirit-empowered reading of the Bible for African churches and beyond. His courses inspire students to engage the Word of God deeply, critically, and transformationally. As a professor, mentor, and preacher, Professor Ilesanmi brings to the Seminary a prophetic voice, a pastoral heart, and a mind deeply anchored in Scripture. His appointment marks a new chapter of academic rigour and biblical scholarship for our Seminary.

We welcome Professor Dele A. Ilesanmi, the World’s First Professor of Biblical Research Studies and Biblical Education, with joy and anticipation. May his work ignite deeper love for Christ, sharper theological minds, and Spirit-filled leaders for generations to come.
