RESEARCH

We are broadly interested in family-based biblical education, intergenerational discipleship models, homeschooling rooted in Kingdom theology, and community-based outreaches, emphasizing theological foundations, practical applications, and holistic discipleship within the family, ecclesia and the community in Nigeria and beyond.

CURRENT AREAS OF INTEREST INCLUDE

1. Family-Based Biblical Education

Family-based biblical education focuses on the biblical principles of parents and the familial unit in transmitting faith. It explores the family as a reflective community of faith, where spiritual growth occurs. The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in guiding family members’ faith development. Ministry applications include pastoral training, family discipleship resources, parenting seminars, and creating a family-based Bible curriculum. These plans integrate biblical teaching into everyday life, using routines like worship and service.

2. Intergenerational Discipleship Models

Intergenerational discipleship models emphasize the biblical call for faith transfer across generations, the ecclesia’s role as a multigenerational community, and God’s Kingdom mission. They can be implemented in ecclesial-based programs, worship, learning, and pastoral leadership development. Practical applications involve developing small group models, creating resources, and involving youth and senior members in community service projects serving God’s Kingdom mission and ensuring younger generations carry the gospel.

3. Homeschooling in Kingdom Theology

Homeschooling in Kingdom Theology explores the role of parents as primary educators in raising children in the knowledge of the Lord. It focuses on integrating a biblical worldview into all subjects, ensuring they reflect Kingdom values and truth. Theological applications include training parents for ministry, establishing support networks, and developing pastoral resources. Practical applications include curriculum development, organizing cooperative learning groups, and offering workshops to equip families with tools to implement biblical discipleship practices in their daily routines.
